I can't believe that I'm doing my 100th post. In the spirit of the blogging community, I am taking this post to tell you 100 things about myself. It's something I've seen other bloggers do, so hopefully it won't be construed as a major case of narcissism....or at least it will be socially acceptable narcissism. So here goes:
100 Things About Me
1. I was born November 4th, 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee.
2. In my parents’ bedroom.
3. No doctor or trained midwife was present.
4. I think that’s really cool.
5. I’m a birth advocate myself.
6. I believe birth is natural, normal and powerful.
7. My husband caught our second baby in our bedroom.
8. No doctor or trained midwife was present then either.
9. I have two children and am pregnant with our third.
10. I think this one is a boy.
11. Shawn wants to name the baby Asher.
12. I think he’ll get made fun of with a name like Asher Cherri.
13. But it’s not like Kai and Quinn won’t get made fun of.
14. Shawn says with a last name like Cherri, it’s bound to happen.
15. I know he’s right.
16. I love my husband.
17. I knew the night before we met that I was going to marry him.
18. Shawn’s brother knew that Shawn was going to marry me, too.
19. On the way to meet me, he said to Shawn, “Are you ready to go meet your future wife?”
20. Shawn was dumbfounded.
21. We were set up by his mom.
22. The night we met, he wore a shirt that said, “I’m the guy your mom warned you about.”
23. I about died.
24. I thought that there was no way my parents would let me get involved with him.
25. They thought the shirt was funny.
26. The night my dad met Jamas, Celeste’s (my sister) husband, he was wearing a shirt that said, “I’m here for your daughter.” On the back it said, “Don’t wait up!”
27. I don’t think Daddy noticed.
28. I miss my sister a lot.
29. She’s my best friend in the world.
30. Well, she and Shawn are both my best friends.
31. I think she’s hilarious.
32. She has put up with a lot of my crap.
33. She’s a lot tougher than me.
34. And prettier.
35. Our mothering skills are probably tied (BL).
36. I miss Taco Bell, too.
37. I love Mexican food.
38. Well, Tex-Mex.

40. I love music.
41. It moves my soul.
42. I like all kinds, but sometimes am embarrassed to admit that I like country, too.
43. I’m listening to the Dixie Chicks right now.
44. It’s a cover of “Landslide,” originally done by Stevie Nicks.
45. I love Stevie Nicks.
46. I want to see her in concert.
47. I’ve been to lots of concerts.
48. I used to really enjoy them.
49. Not as much any more.
50. I think I damaged my hearing from going to so many and listening to loud music.
51. I’m in denial about my hearing loss.
52. But I have to watch movies with subtitles sometimes.
53. I’d like to believe that it wasn’t my listening to extremely loud music, but my very loud children that caused it.
54. I love my children very much, but I’m not particularly maternal.
55. They don’t seem to mind.
56. They’re really independent.
57. Kai came at just the right time in my life.
58. He arrived before Shawn did.
59. I was scared at first, but his presence in my life changed me forever.

70. I love to write.
71. But not creative stuff.
72. One of my first jobs was as a dancing chicken.

76. I’m cerebral.
77. I wish I could be a student forever.
78. I wish I could be a midwife.
79. I am usually a skeptic and a pessimist.
80. Shawn has helped me to be more positive.
81. He is almost always optimistic.
82. I don’t know how.
83. I read a quote somewhere that said, “The thing about being a pessimist is that you are always either being proven right or pleasantly surprised.”
84. I use this to justify my pessimism.
85. I grew up with three siblings.
86. I want four children because of this.
87. After that, I think I want my tubes tied.
88. I want to live in Europe some day.
89. I’m looking very forward to moving back to the States.
90. Everyone keeps asking when that will be.
91. I don’t know.
92. They don’t believe me.
93. But it’s true.
94. I miss our families so much.
95. I think when we get back, we’ll just tour around and live like gypsies, visiting all of our relatives.
96. They would probably be fine with that idea.
97. I’m not looking forward to the traveling back part.
98. It’s a 24+ hour trek across many continents, with many flight changes.
99. This was a really long list.
100. I am glad it’s over.
